Finish/Recovery

Finish

The finish line is on the Tongariro North Domain, adjacent to the Great Lake Centre and will close at 4.30pm.

Water and R-Line electrolyte will be available on the domain. We will also have our SPEIGHTS beer garden set up for anyone who is 18+ to come and enjoy an ice-cold SPEIGHTS on us!

First Aid Station will be provided at the finish line by Peak Safety

All finishers receive a chocolate fish (Taupo brown trout) on exiting the finish area.

We will also have live music happening on the main stage and a Kids Zone!

MEDALS

Finishers in all distance events will receive one of our amazing Love Taupo medals. To reduce our events environmental impact, we will no longer have the date on the medal or lanyard. Surplus medals/ribbons displaying the event date ultimately become waste so there will instead, be space on the back of the medal where you can have the event date & your finishing time engraved (if you wish).

We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to think what else can be done to help preserve our world.

Recovery

There will be live music at the event base throughout the day so put your feet up and enjoy some great refreshments on us once you have finished! SPEIGHT’S will be providing some great drink options and we will have the traditional chocolate fish of course.

Hot soup and buns are available free to all finishers in the Great Lake Centre. Other refreshments will also be available for purchase by the finish area.

Massages will be available in the Great Lake Centre for a small fee.

Showers are in the Super Loo adjacent to the Great Lake Centre.
