Finish/Recovery
Finish
The finish line is on the Tongariro North Domain, adjacent to the Great Lake Centre and will close at 4.30pm.
Water and R-Line electrolyte will be available on the domain. We will also have our SPEIGHTS beer garden set up for anyone who is 18+ to come and enjoy an ice-cold SPEIGHTS on us!
First Aid Station will be provided at the finish line by Peak Safety
All finishers receive a chocolate fish (Taupo brown trout) on exiting the finish area.
We will also have live music happening on the main stage.
BAG DROP
There will be the option to drop a small bag near the Start line on Race Day. Our amazing volunteers will keep it safe until you return from your run/walk.
MEDALS
Finishers in all distance events will receive one of our amazing Love Taupo medals.
Soul Tech Engraving will be onsite ready to engrave your medal, with your name or time or something custom. $15 per medal if you pre-purchase when you enter or $20 on Event Day (no booking required)
Recovery
The Flex team will have a recovery zone set up - Sauna, Ice baths, Foam rollers etc.
There will be live music at the event base throughout the day so put your feet up and enjoy some great refreshments on us once you have finished! SPEIGHT’S will be providing some great drink options and we will have the traditional chocolate fish of course.
Hot soup and buns are available free to all finishers in the Great Lake Centre. Food trucks will be onsite for you to purchase food and coffee.
Massages will be available in the Great Lake Centre for a small fee.
Showers are in the Super Loo adjacent to the Great Lake Centre.
